Low Key Watersports is one of the best dive shops on St John and is truly a full service dive shop offering snorkel and dive gear for rent or purchase, dive trips for the beginner or the most experienced diver, and snorkel trips as well. These folks know the waters of St John and our neigboring islands. They dive spots few others can find. Leave it to Low Key to know the weather and where the best dives will be on any particular day (or night – yes, they offer great night diving opportunities as well). Their shop is great. If you have never tried snorkeling before, but want to learn then head to Low Key to rent your gear for the day or week. They have a range of masks styles to fit all faces, including children. Rental fins available in children’s and adult sizes up to size 15! Prescription masks ranging from +4.0 to –10.0 are also available for rent. Their trained staff will ensure that you have the correct fit to the gear and are happy to review basic snorkeling procedures or offer suggestions as to the best “secret” spots around the island.
Low Key Watersports is proud to be St. John’s only five-star PADI Instructor Development Center and one of only five in the Virgin Islands. Their 25 plus years experience diving in the waters off St. John, low-key attitude, and excellent facilities, makes Low Key the premier dive shop on St. John. So relax, splash in and let Low Key take care of the rest! Low Key has two custom-made, Coast Guard inspected, 36-foot Newton dive boats: the M.V. “Hey Now” and the M.V. “Low Key.” Both boats have bench seating, a shaded lower deck to get you out of the hot sun, as well as an additional fly bridge deck on “Hey Now.” Relax in comfort on the way out to the dive site. Their boats have custom-built tank racks and a railed ladder to assist divers with getting in and out of the water. When you return there is a fresh water shower available for you and your gear, as well as a secure storage facility for any dive gear that you would prefer to leave on the boat during your stay. Doing photography? A fresh water rinse bucket and secure console table are available for rinsing and cleaning equipment following the dives.
